Pack for
cross-country skiing

Get more out of winter and cross-country skiing with Silva’s hydration belts. Whether you're heading out to enjoy the winter landscape or improving your endurance on prepared ski tracks, our hydration belts have the right pockets, features, and packing volume for you. In this guide, you will learn how to choose the right hydration belt for cross-country skiing and get smart packing tips.

What hydration belt should I choose?

Silva offers three different hydration belts for cross-country skiing: two hydration belts with insulated tubes and one thermo belt. All three have smart pockets and a flexible fit, with the Silva Embrace System distributing weight evenly and keeping the belt in place. What sets the belts apart is that they are designed for different purposes.

Flex Belt 10

belt with more packing volume for longer sessions

If you'll be out for many hours, choose the Flex Belt 10, which provides plenty of space for extraclothing and energy. Attach the insulated tube to your clothing or race bib with the included clip or the Magnetic Hose Mount.

STRIVE LOOP Belt

lightweight belt with optimized storage for your phone, keys, wind jacket, and energy

Use the waist belt for short runs or as a complement to your running vest. The belt has multiple pockets with and without zippers, comes in 5 sizes, and has a low weight starting from 64 g.

Pack for cross-country ski training

For training, we recommend the comfortable Flow Belt 6 thermo belt. The 1.2-liter bottle is stored in an insulated compartment to keep the fluids at the right temperature. Flow Belt 6 has a packing volume of 6 liters, accommodating everything you want to bring with you: extra clothing, energy, wax, headlamp battery, phone, and keys. The Flow Insulated Sleeve (sold separately) is a neoprene sleeve that will keep the desired temperature of the fluids for 3 hours longer.

If you want to drink on the go during long sessions, use a hydration belt with a tube, either Race Belt 4 (4 liters packing volume) or Flex Belt 10 (10 liters packing volume).
